How to choose
the right type of wind tunnel
Unlike what many people think, wind tunnels do not only come in a variety of shapes and sizes but can also have fundamental differences in other areas. Some very important varying aspects of wind tunnels are:
Choosing the right wind tunnel can be compared to buying a car. The perfect car for you depends on what you want to accomplish with it.
Choosing a partner
to build your tunnel.
EYDISA WIND TUNNELS is 100% committed to building excellent wind tunnels. We don't just provide the tunnel technology, we partner with you throughout the entire process. We take great pride in making sure every single wind tunnel built by EYDISA is a prestigious machine that inspires respect and admiration.
Building
your wind tunnel.
Once you have chosen a partner, the planning phase begins, where the specifics of your wind tunnel are addressed. As soon as the planning is finalised, permits are obtained and the building works commence. The building phase normally takes between 12 and 18 months to complete, although EYDISA Wind Tunnels also excels in this area. Today’s largest facilities in Europe, Madrid Fly, which includes a restaurant, meeting rooms etc. were constructed in just 13 months, of which the tunnel technology itself took 6 months to be installed.
Running
the business.
Before opening a wind tunnel to the public, it is recommended and common practice to run a testing and calibrating period of about one month, during which the tunnel staff usually is trained. This guarantees safe and flawless operation, well ahead of your big opening day. The testing period shouldn't delay the project in any way, as your tunnel can easily be operational a month before the rest of the building is completed.
